Marketing & Communications Strategist
As a Marketing & Communications Strategist, you’ll develop communication plans that connect paid, earned, owned, and social media, helping clients launch campaigns that generate conversation and measurable business results. You’ll help brands earn attention through smart strategy, compelling storytelling, and integrated communications that reach audiences across every channel.
You’ll be a key member of the Real Art team, partnering with account, creative, digital, and production teams to shape campaigns from strategy through execution. Whether you’re conducting audience research, developing messaging and positioning, writing a press release, building a content calendar, launching a cross-channel campaign, or presenting recommendations to clients, you’ll bring clarity, creativity, and confidence to every engagement.

You know how to uncover audience insights, develop compelling messaging and positioning, and translate research into communications strategies that connect with the right people at the right time. You understand how communications, content, and marketing work together to build brands, and you’re always looking for new opportunities to tell meaningful stories.
Responsibilities
- Develop integrated communications strategies that support client business goals and marketing objectives.
- Conduct audience research, develop audience segmentation strategies, and identify key insights that inform messaging, positioning, channel strategy, and campaign planning.
- Develop messaging frameworks, positioning, value propositions, and key narratives that establish clear, differentiated brand voices across campaigns and communications.
- Create communications plans spanning earned, owned, paid, social, digital, and experiential channels.
- Write press releases, media pitches, executive messaging, articles, website copy, blogs, newsletters, and other marketing communications.
- Build and execute media relations strategies that generate meaningful earned media coverage.
- Develop and manage social media content calendars in collaboration with creative and account teams.
- Create and oversee content for websites, landing pages, email campaigns, and other digital platforms.
- Collaborate with creative, design, video, digital, and production teams to launch integrated campaigns across multiple channels.
- Research audiences, competitors, industry trends, and cultural conversations to uncover communications opportunities.
- Measure campaign performance and provide strategic recommendations based on results.
- Lead client presentations, communicate strategic recommendations, and build trusted client relationships.
- Support business development efforts through communications strategy, messaging, positioning, and pitch development.
Skills & Experience
- Four or more years of experience in communications, public relations, integrated marketing, or a related agency or in-house role.
- Experience developing strategic communications plans and executing integrated marketing campaigns.
- Experience conducting audience research, creating audience segmentation frameworks, and translating insights into actionable communications strategies.
- Experience developing messaging frameworks, brand positioning, value propositions, and audience-specific communications that drive engagement and business results.
- Proven success generating earned media through media relations and proactive storytelling.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills across a variety of formats and audiences.
- Strong understanding of social media strategy, content planning, and digital marketing best practices.
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced agency environment.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and client relationship skills.
- Ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on throughout execution.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across disciplines and build strong relationships.
- Naturally curious, proactive, and energized by solving complex communications challenges.
